Sorrento House 02

This house is the second house we have designed for this large site in Sorrento. This house has been designed as a counterpoint to the first house which explores the tectonics of cantilevered forms. This house, in contrast, explores the classical trope of a trabeated piano nobile positioned over a rustic sub-floor. The lightness and delicacy of this house sits in balance to the elemental language of cast forms expressed in the first house.
